Chapi Design was commissioned to develop the interior‑design for this iconic hotel, a project that required a delicate balance between honoring the property’s storied heritage and introducing a fresh, timeless aesthetic.

Drawing on an extensive understanding of the hotel’s historical character, the firm preserved key architectural details and traditional motifs while seamlessly integrating contemporary materials, sophisticated lighting schemes, and innovative spatial arrangements.

The result is a harmonious environment where the past and the present coexist: guests experience the original grandeur of the hotel, complemented by a sleek, modern elegance that feels both enduring and forward‑thinking.

This thoughtful blend of reverence and reinvention underscores Chapi Design’s commitment to creating spaces that respect legacy while embracing the future.

The project, which had progressed through a full year of design work and reached the stage of construction documentation, was ultimately discontinued due to the unprecedented impacts of the COVID‑19 pandemic and a series of other unforeseen challenges. Throughout this journey, Chapi Design was honored to be entrusted with the development of such an iconic hotel, and we remain deeply grateful for the confidence placed in us by the owners. While the venture could not be brought to completion, the experience reinforced our commitment to excellence and the enduring partnership we share with our clients.
